Basic way of thinking of the extrusion

  1. Heating (preheat of the billet)

  1. I can mold a complicated cross-section in one body

  2. Die charges are relatively cheap and are superior in mass productivity

    Reduction of the initial investment: As a die expense is relatively low, I can reduce a risk when I develop a new product. The production start in the short term: Because the production period of the die is short, I can shorten time to market injection of the product (lead time). It is most suitable for mass production: I am suitable for production of the large lot once because I can produce the products of the same shape consecutively effectively and fast if I make the die.
  3. I am suitable for long thing and lightweighting

    The extrusion can mold the long product of several meters in one body to push materials continually. In addition, I can make the product which I made use of a characteristic of aluminum in to the maximum.
    Merit
    The production of the long thing: It is advantageous in cost and strength to be able to make a pillar, the sash of the building, the long material including the pipe without welding.     A solution: It is important time to design it to choose the most suitable alloy which fitted the use of the product, and to design it or to talk with a processor beforehand.
  3. The second processing is necessary

    A demerit: The extrusion is a processing method to just make the long shape. Cutting, a perforator, surface treatment, bending are necessary to make the final product.
    A solution: These are general processing and are pushed forward effectively by asking a specialized processor in a lump.
